Welcome to my blog! I'm new at this so bear with me. I'm not sure who will read this but I'd appreciate any and all constructive critcism and/or suggestions.
So what is The Daily Crop? Really, it means a few different things to me. First, it's secretly (or not so secretly) a goal of mine to be able to scrapbook, or crop, every day. I love to read other's blogs and see all of their wonderful layouts and beautiful cards. I'm hoping to make more time to scrap and share some of my creations here. I would also like to share my other interests: getting healthy, getting organized, struggles with being a working mom, and my other big obsession come fall - football! Another goal is to post daily, but I'm realistic and hopeful that it will be more than once a week...but there was already a "weekly crop" website. :)
So here goes...for my first Daily Crop I thought I'd share some of my favorite blogs on a variety of topics. Hopefully something will interest you and you'll follow them and get the same inspiration, ideas, or much needed laugh break that I do. I'm sure there's some kind of "blog sharing" etiquette that I'm unaware of, so if anyone reads this and knows, please share.
http://www.cricutblog.org/ - This is a brand new blog from cricut.com and I love it! They've already had some great posts with inspiration for the Cricut (a great die cutting machine for paper crafting if you're unfamiliar) as well as other Provocraft products like the Yudu Screen printing machine and the Cuttlebug embossing machines. Those were two machines I didn't know much about or think I needed...until I saw the posts and videos. Now I think they'll be on my wish list!
http://www.mycraftchannelblog.com/ - This is also a brand new blog. It's been set up in preparation for a new website, My Craft Channel (http://www.mycraftchannel.com/), which is set to debut this fall. It's the brainchild of Kristine McKay, who I recognized as the spokesperson for Northride Publishing (publisher of one of my favorite magaizines, Cricut) and is a first of it's kind online TV Craft Network. I can't wait to see what fun and creative ideas they have in store for us. So far, the blog is giving away 20 Cricuts in 20 Days so check it out now!
http://www.cricutholiday.com/ - Everyday Cricut has become a great source of ideas and inspiration for using my Cricut for layouts and cards. Joy and Melanie are amazingly creative and post ideas on this website as well as their individual ones (http://www.obsessedwithscrapbooking.com/) and (http://www.courtney-lane.blogspot.com/). Please take a look- you won't be sorry!
http://snarkyinthesuburbs.com/ - Snarky is a genius, in my opinon! I absolutely love her sense of humor and she really nails family life in suburbia. Just be careful if you read her posts at work that you close the door and have tissues on hand. I usually laugh until I cry!
http://www.billandchelle.com/fitness/ - Chelle Stafford is an amazing woman though she'd tell you she's just like everyone else. Over an 18 month period she lost 71 pounds, but more importantly, she changed her life for the better by improving her health, fitness and lifestyle. She's married, the mother of 4, and works full time. And still makes time for herself. I find that very inspiring and her website and blog have been very helpful to me as I embark on a healthier lifestyle for myself and my family. This website is a must!
